What we collect

Kalibrate collects the following information as part of the recruitment assessment process:

  • Account information (hiring managers only): name, email address, and authentication data via Google or email sign-in.
  • Assessment responses: behavioural profiler answers (forced-choice selections across work-related statements), video responses to situational scenarios, and qualifying check answers.
  • Derived behavioural data: psychometric scores across 24 behavioural traits, Big Five personality dimensions, and capability assessments. These are computed from your assessment responses.
  • Basic contact information (candidates and team members): name and email address as provided when beginning an assessment.

What we do not collect

  • Resumes or CVs
  • Employment history
  • Education records
  • References
  • Social media profiles
  • Any information beyond what you directly provide during the assessment

How we use your data

  • Assessment scoring: your responses are processed to generate a behavioural profile used in the recruitment assessment.
  • Team analysis: team member profiles are aggregated to identify team strengths and gaps. Individual profiles are visible to the hiring manager.
  • Candidate ranking: candidate profiles are scored against role-specific criteria defined by the hiring manager.
  • Report generation: assessment data is used to generate downloadable reports for hiring managers and personal profile reports for assessees.

AI processing

Kalibrate uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to assist with role kalibration conversations, scenario generation, and transcript analysis. Your assessment responses (profiler answers) are scored using deterministic algorithms, not AI. Video response transcripts may be processed by AI for behavioural signal extraction. No assessment data is used to train AI models.

Data storage and security

Assessment data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to candidate and team member data is restricted to the hiring manager who created the session and platform administrators.

Data retention

Assessment data is retained for the duration of the hiring session. Hiring managers can delete sessions and all associated data at any time. We do not retain assessment data after a session is deleted.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and applicable privacy legislation, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Download a copy of your assessment profile
  • Withdraw from an assessment at any time (close the browser)

Assessment methodology disclosure

This assessment uses a forced-choice ipsative psychometric instrument measuring 24 behavioural traits. Results are percentile-normalised against population norms. The assessment is designed to identify behavioural preferences, not to measure ability, intelligence, or aptitude. No single assessment result should be used as the sole basis for an employment decision.
